ESSENCE 2009 Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon...

ESSENCE magazine celebrated on Thursday thebest of Hollywood at its second annual Essence Black Women in HollywoodLuncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The event honored four of Hollywood’s finest: Halle Berry (The Power Award), director Gina Prince-Bythewood (Visionary Award), Diahann Carroll (The Legend Award) and Taraji P. Henson (Lexus Star To Watch Award). The women looked oh so fab, as well as all the stylest african american women that showed up, it was star power all up and thru.. check out the pics of some of my favs below....

My fav girl.. Tracee Ross, Wendy Raquel Robinson(SAVE THE GAME),Keyla Pratt, Lauern London, Megan Good, and Eva the Diva all look HOTT.. Sanna Lathan, Tia Morwy, Viv Foxx, and Kerry Washingtion.. all looked super FAB.. Fun times were had by all...

I Want Her Job..

Celebrity Publicist Krystle A. Coleman is taking the PR world by storm with clients Trina, Bryant McKinney, Carmelo Anthony, Cassidy, Rick Ross, Piles,Thomas Jones just to name a few.This Jet-setter is making moves in Cities like Miami, Atlanta, LA, New York, and Detroit.. I caught up with the busy bee to get a quick interview, check out what this women on the move had to say about her non-stop job..

How did you get your start in the world of celebrity public relations?

I interned at a hip hop magazine, and then Def Jam in The Publicity Department and then BAM I was working as a full time employee at Slip n Slide Records and then I recently launched my own Boutique Public Relations firm "Midori Star Media

What most attracted you to the music industry?

I mean it's the "Entertainment Industry" who isn't attracted to it, I was attracted like everyone else in Society, I just decided to do something about it , and use what GOD blessed me with to persue a fulltime career in this industry

What keeps you going in this fast pace industry?

The Lights camera and action..( laughs) no but the on going evolution of the music game is what keeps me moving forward, the music industry is something that will never run out of possibilities or exhaust its energy !

If you could choose any other career field to work in, what would it be and why?

Probably fashion , I like to read fashion magazines such as Nylon and Elle etc, I love to dress up and analyze someone outfit from head to toe, and question there individual fashion sense...so if I wasn't in PR I would most def pursue a long term career, in some form of fashion

As you know this is a fashion blog, so who are some of your favorite designers?

Michael Kors ( I absolutely love his shoes ) , Kate Spade is classic Marc Jacobs is fabulous in every sense of the word...I love alexis Phiefer's new line Ghita and last but not least YSL, I could go on and on....I love everything from K-Mart to Giuseppe

Vintage, High-end, Low-end, or a mix of both?

Definitely a mix of both

What celebrity would you say your style is reminisce of?

No one, I do my own thing and stay as far off from the world as possible....but if i had to choose I would have to say, KELIS and Sarah Jessica Parkers character on Sex and the City ( totally wacky and condescending) and that whole Shelia E, Vanity 6 Era

Most used beauty product?

Sexy Mutha Pucker Lipgloss, Green tea Oil and any Dove Product or Soap and Glory Product

What advice do you have for someone trying to make a mark in this industry?

Be yourself don't force it, if the industry isn't for you..dont force it just to be a part of a movement, you have to dance to your own tune

What's next for Krystle Coleman?

International business, more sports figure clients...and other complete Bizarreness

Seventeen Magazine Presents Pastry Fashion ShoAndConcert Feb.16, in Vegas. Angela and Vanessa Simmons debuted some pieces from there new apparel line, and I actually like the looks, not to mention I am a pastry fan, I have a cute little high top pair...
